The Tennessee Real Estate Commission (TREC) requires every REALTOR® to complete 16 hours of continuing education (CE) courses within the two years preceding your license expiration date. That means you have two years to take 16 hours of classes. TREC requires their own core course, which is six hours long, and an additional 10 hours of electives. All REALTORS® must complete the National Association of REALTORS® ethics course and a Fair Housing course. At this time, the requirement is to complete both classes every three calendar years. Regardless of which association you belong to, all REALTORS® must complete both courses.
Below are the cycle dates for the Code of Ethics Training and Fair Hosuing Requirements. Training must be completed at any time during these established cycles. Failure to complete training during any cycle will lead to suspension of membership for the January and February immediately following the cycle deadline, with the termination of membership starting March 1 after the cycle deadline.
The current Code of Ethics and Fair Housing cycle is January 1, 2025- December 31, 2027.
All WCAR Primary REALTOR® members must comeplete both trainings within this timeframe to remain in compliance with their membership requierments.
Students are responsible for the performance of their own technology including audio volume, video clarity, and reliable internet connection. We use the Zoom platform.
