The WCAR Community Outreach Committee invites you to join us on June 5th for a volunteer opportunity with One Generation Away. Participants will be helping during their Mobile Food Pantry event where 15,000-25,000lbs. of food will be dropped off in a parking lot and volunteers will sort and distribute to neighbors in need.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 5th at Johnson Elementary School (815 Glass Lane). Volunteers should arrive at 8:00 with food distribution beginning at 9:00. The event will last until 11:30 or whenever resources are depleted.
Volunteers should park at Johnson Elementary School, with overflow parking down the street at Freedom Intermediate School (840 Glass Lane).
WCAR volunteers should meet at 8:00am near the flagpole in front of Johnson Elementary to await instructions.
