The Williamson County Association of REALTORS® (WCAR) celebrated its incoming 2017 leaders and recognized several individual accomplishments in a ceremony on Nov. 17 at Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin.
Lisa Wurth, a managing broker with Benchmark Realty, LLC, was sworn in as President. Wurth will serve a one-year term as the association’s president.
“It’s an incredible honor to serve WCAR and its agents and partners in Williamson County,” said Lisa Wurth of her role as President. “Our association is growing and we hope to enhance existing and build new partnerships to affect a positive influence for our members, the real estate industry and our community.”
“The members of WCAR certainly appreciate the outstanding job David Logan did as president of the association for 2106,” said Wurth. While there are many accomplishments this year that deserve mentioning, the launch of the WCAR Leadership Academy may be at the top of the list.”
Officers serving with Wurth for 2017 include: Matt Daniel (Daniel-Christian Real Estate), President-Elect; Kyle Shults, (Keller Williams Realty) Secretary/Treasurer; and David Logan, (SilverPointe Properties) Immediate Past President.
Two WCAR members installed as new directors for a three-year term include Renae Voda (Coldwell Banker Barnes) and Julia Wood (Benchmark Realty, LLC).
Those continuing their service on the WCAR Board of Directors include: Jennifer Bickerstaff (PARKS), LeAnne Constantine (Reliant Realty, ERA Powered, Brentwood), Jordan Vaughn (RE/Max Fine Properties), Tiffany White (Keller Williams Realty) and Danny B Wood (PARKS).
WCAR also recognized two members completing their service as board members: Chip Kerr (Crye-Leike, REALTORS), Past President and John Giffen (Benchmark Realty, LLC), Director.
In addition to the installation of officers and directors, WCAR honored a few outstanding members for their achievements and contributions in 2016.
Ann Skiera of Zeitlin & Co. Realtors was named WCAR’s 2016 REALTOR of the Year. This award is given annually to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the real estate profession, the industry and community. The recipient is chosen by a selection committee comprised of the last five recipients of the honor.
“Ann is extremely deserving of the REALTOR of the Year award,” said Wurth. “Her dedication to the industry is evidenced by her level of involvement at Zeitlin & Co., as well as her contributions to the real estate profession through her roles in the local and state associations. Combined with her service to the community, Ann is a deserving recipient of this honor.”
