It's been a little more than a month since I took over the Executive Vice President position with the Williamson County Association of REALTORS®. Since my start, I've experienced nothing but a very warm welcome and good wishes for success in this job from nearly everyone I've met. I can honestly say that I have never felt so good about the area where I live and the people I've come to know. True Southern hospitality, that's for sure! I love my new home and really love my new job!
As the Search Committee was interviewing me a couple months ago, I told them that within a few months I wanted our membership to be able to proudly proclaim that "we belong to the very best local REALTOR® association in the state of Tennessee!" Living up to that pledge is what drives me each and every day. The WCAR Board of Directors and Executive Committee have given me the opportunity to move us into a new era. You will see our staff beefed up to provide you with better services. Already, we've hired a new Government Affairs Director, Bo Patten, who is doing a marvelous job. Our other full-time staff members, Tiffany Claxton, Tracie Hantle and Nadreen Bagoun are exceptional at what they do and I am thrilled to have them here to help carry out the mission. Soon, I will hire a Communications Director to make sure that you, the members, are always informed early and often about the events, classes and goings on at WCAR. We will become much more visible within the communities we serve, as well. WCAR is forging great relationships with the Mayors, Commission members and other community leaders.
We are playing in the big leagues now, and WCAR will be a force. We're kind of like the Predators.....the talent has been here, and now we are going to tap into it and become one of the best teams in Association Management.
Please stop by anytime, and watch for office visits from my staff and me as we try to improve greatly on our outreach efforts to those we serve. If I haven't met you yet, I will. It might take me a while to remember everyone's name....but, I will try!
So Happy to be Here,
Rob Wigton
