The Rob Report-A Message from WCAR EVP Rob Wigton

Things are heating up in Williamson County!  It’s mid-summer and time to crank the air conditioning and stay hydrated.  WCAR is heating up too, with lots of great things on the horizon.  We have a terrific golf event planned on September 25th at The Hideaway Golf Course in Arrington, benefiting the REALTOR Good Works Foundation. Please get a team together and give us a call to register. It should be a fun day of golf and networking.  

Board Elections are coming up, and we will host the General Membership Meeting and Luncheon on September 27th. The luncheon will be catered by Puffy Muffin. Please plan to attend and watch for further details on the location. 

We will be hosting an RPAC fundraising event on October 5th. We need you to show up for this one.  WCAR is on the verge of having a record-setting RPAC fundraising year. We have met all goals, with the exception of total number of members participating.  So, please make at least a small RPAC Investment today. 

For as little as $15, we can count you as an RPAC Investor and improve our chances of winning the Triple Crown Award.  You should know that a few dozen of your WCAR peers have given at the Major Investor levels of a thousand dollars or more this year.  However, every little bit counts, and the more individual members we can get to give at least the minimum, the better our chances of leading all local associations in Tennessee in terms of RPAC investing. Let’s do it! Call our office with your pledge today, or reach out to our new Government Affairs Director, Bo Patten.  He’d love to hear from you.

Please continue to watch for updates on our “Celebration of Excellence,” which will honor those of you who gain enough points through production and participation in Association events.  Are you “on track?”  You’ll be hearing lots more about this event in the weeks to come.

Our new staff member and the entire staff want to meet all of you! So, your Board of Directors is hosting a “Meet the WCAR Staff” event on August 16th, here at the Board office. Swing by from 4-5:30pm. There will be wine and beer, and light appetizers.  Stop by and meet the six staff members who work hard each day to serve all WCAR members. We have a very bright energetic staff anxious to get to know each of you.
